For us asset management is an art inspired by very firm principles. First among them is risk control and to achieve it we select for our clients low volatility investment tools. Nonetheless these investments present two digit annual returns because they are very effectively designed.
Another fundamental principle is the stability of returns over the years. We select mainly total absolute return financial instruments capable of offering significant profits both in positive and negative years.
Therefore, together with the more appropriate investment timing, we choose with our client the type of correlation level with different markets that we prefer to be exposed to, every year with respect to the equity, commodity and currency markets. The added value of our asset managers’ experience allows us to give our clients the most appropriate advice. For example in 2007 and 2008 we have been increasing our exposure to the commodity market and reducing our exposure to the equity market.
